2.35, 2.35a & 2.35b

Tuesday 23rd November 2004

Here's a good example of how busy I am at present trying to earn enough money to survive here in Japan. Blender 2.35 was release on the 16th November 2004, and I've only just now had time to sit down, do a bit of personal browsing and discover this fact. I feel a little foolish having a blog called BlenderBlog and not even being able to keep up with the current news, but hey...sometimes...life's like that.

In any case, the latest version has arrived and I'm downloading it as I type. The full list of features for this version can be found here.

Also, take note that there was a mix up with compiling the Linux binaries, so there's a 2.35a version which is built with a more stable version of gcc. You could always build it yourself from the source. And there's a 2.35b for OSX users 'cause the Python math module was left out of the initial build. The 2.35 download page links to a OSX 10.3 build that's versioned at 2.35a and a OSX 10.2 build that's versioned at 2.35b. Go figure? I'm downloading the 10.3 build, so I'll let you know how it goes...although at present it may take me a few days to get around to even installing it =)
